Susan A. Corbin, age 91 of Lima, passed away Thursday, June 1, 2023, at 6:35 pm, Burton’s Ridge Assisted Living.

She was born September 19, 1931, in Upper Sandusky, OH, to Milton and Evelyn (Bougardes) Sebenoler who preceded her in death. On November 17, 1956, she married David Corbin who preceded her in death on September 21, 2020.

Surviving are her children: Timothy (Janet) Corbin of Holland, OH, Steve (Sylvia) Corbin of Sidney, OH and Cathy (Rick) Easterling of Pittsburgh, PA; her grandchildren she adored: Krista (Justin) Boren, David (Raelyn) Corbin, Kyle (Becca) Corbin, Kevin (Katelyn) Corbin, Sam (Haley) Corbin, Kate Easterling, Sara Easterling and Meredith Easterling; and her beloved great-grandchildren: Broxton, Brooklyn & Blake Boren, Crawford “CJ” Corbin, Grady Corbin, Elias and Kellan Corbin. She is also survived by the following siblings: Nancy Asbeck of West Chester, OH and John (Julie) Sebenoler of Upper Sandusky. Also survived by a sister-in-law, Ann Sebenoler of Springfield, OH.

She is preceded in death by a brother, Robert Sebenoler, a sister, Julie Sebenoler and a brother-in-law, Frank Asbeck.

Susan was a graduate of Upper Sandusky High School and Bowling Green State University. She was a teacher at St. Charles Elementary School and a member of St. Charles Catholic Church. She was an avid card player in many clubs around Lima, playing Pinochle and Bridge. She enjoyed wintering in Florida with her husband for many years. She was also an avid fan of OSU Football and LCC Basketball. She and David were volunteers for many years at St. Rita’s Hospital.

Her Funeral Mass will begin at 11:00 a.m., Monday, June 12, 2023, at St. Charles Catholic Church, with Fr. Kent Kaufman officiating. Entombment will be in Gethsemani Cemetery Mausoleum following the service. Family and friends may visit in the Gathering Space at St. Charles church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the Mass on Monday.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Charles Catholic Church or Alzheimer’s Association of Northwest Ohio.
