Robert “Bob” M. Lauck Jr., age 67, passed away October 27, 2021, at 5:59 pm, at the Lima Memorial Health System. Bob was born August 16, 1954, in Lima, OH, to Robert M. and Helen L. (Gary) Lauck Sr. who preceded him in death. On August 30, 1986, he married Joyce A. (Sawyer) Lauck who preceded him in death on March 28, 2016.
Bob had worked with his father and brother in his family’s business, Lima Demolition as an excavator. He also was the owner of JBL Trucking Company for 35 years until his recent illness. Bob loved riding his Harley, boating, camping, his trucks and his equipment. Most importantly, he enjoyed spending time with his family. He will be remembered as always being a cut up and never knowing a stranger.
Bob is survived by his son, Robert (Tonya) Lauck and his daughter, Trisha Lauck both of Lima, OH, a step-daughter, Tracy (Phil) R. Hernandez of Dearborn Heights, Michigan, 4 grandchildren: Chelsie (Andrew), Austin (Leia), Amira and Addisyn, 2 step grandchildren: Monica and Morgan, 4 great grandchildren: Gattlyn, Quinton, Gracelyn and Jensyn, a brother, Bill (Robin) Lauck of Lima, OH, 2 sisters in-law: Judy Lauck and Jenny Lauck both of Lima, OH and a brother in-law, Ronnie Mowery of Lima, OH. He was preceded in death by 3 brothers: Gary Lauck, Jerry Lauck and Tom (Jackie) Lauck and a sister, Kate Mowery.
There will be a funeral service held on Thursday, November 11, 2021 at 11:00 am at the CHILES-LAMAN FUNERAL AND CREMATION SERVICES, SHAWNEE CHAPEL. Officiating the service will be Rev. Tim Lewis. Burial will be in Shawnee Cemetery following the service.
Friends may visit on Wednesday, November 10, 2021 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at the SHAWNEE CHAPEL. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association. Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.chiles-lamanfh.com.
