Maxine Danby, 94, Years, was called into the presence of the Lord on February 15, 2017 at Riverside, CA.
She was born February 23, 1922 in Lima to Clifford and Helen Nichols who preceded her in death. She married Max Mathews in 1939 who preceded her in death in 1967. She married Carl Danby in 1969 who preceded her in death in 1991.
Survivors include: a daughter, Sharon (Ray) Larson of Carlsbad, CA; two grandchildren, Rev. Mike (Lisa) Patton of Murrieta, CA and Lori (Tom) Raffy of Riverside, CA; six great-grandchildren, Melissa, Emily, and Lauren Patton of Murrieta, CA and William, Darin, and Matthew Siples of Riverside, CA; four great-great grandchildren, Kayli, Kevin, and Kaydence of Riverside, CA and Jordyn Siples of San Bernardino, CA; two step daughters, Susan (Bob) Patterson of Georgia and Barbara (Richard) Good of Lebanon, OH; four step grandchildren, Shelly and Chris Patterson and Kyle and Trevor Good; one sister-in-law, Peg Nichols of Lima.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Donald and Richard Nichols and one sister, Dorothy Godfrey.
She loved her church. She was a member of Shawnee United Methodist Church since 1959. Maxine was a member of the Forum Sunday School Class and Triple O’s (On Our Own) single women’s group in the church. She visited the Holy Land twice.
Maxine loved flying to California at least twice a year to visit her family and loved having them visit her. She had many walking friends at the American Mall and many widow friends.
Graveside services will begin 11:00 am Tuesday, February 28, 2017, at Memorial Park Cemetery. Rev. Mike Patton will officiate the service.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 – 4:00 pm Monday, February 27, at CHILES – LAMAN FUNERAL AND CREMATION SERVICES, SHAWNEE CHAPEL.
