Mary Jane Mikesell, age 68, was called into the presence of the Lord at 5:20 p.m. Friday, January 15, 2016, surrounded by her loving family at St. Rita’s Medical Center.

Mary Jane was born January 25, 1947 in Detroit, MI, to Eric and Mary Jane McGary Crocker who both preceded her in death. On November 27, 1967 she married the love of her life, Colin A. Mikesell who survives in Lima. They were married forty eight wonderful years.

Mary Jane was a 1965 graduate of Shawnee High School and received her LPN License from School Craft College. She was a sports fan and was especially a football fanatic. She was a proud wife, mom and grandma who loved her family more than anything.

She was blessed with four amazing children and twelve wonderful grandchildren; E. Christopher Christy Mikesell and their children, Kenna, Trent and twins Sammy and Brody, of Gilbert, AZ, Nicole “Poog” Patrick Pasion and their children, Isabella, Colin and Lucia, of Lima, Ashley Michael Mellon and their daughter, Faith, of North Ridgeville, and Kyle Brandi Mikesell, and their children, twins Kadence and Dalton, Chandler, Charlie, of Phoenix, AZ.

Other survivors include, brother, Jack Crocker of Delray Beach, FL, brother-in-law, Fred Wynant of Delray Beach, FL, two brothers-in-law, C. Jan Bernice Mikesell of Lima, James “Greg” Aja Mikesell of San Antonio, TX, sisters-in-law, Donna Mikesell of Fort Myers, FL, Yvonne Mikesell of Lima, several loving, nieces, nephews and cousins.

She is preceded in death by: sister, Carol Wynant, brothers-in-law, Edwin F. Rosemarie Mikesell, Roger Mikesell and Wallace Mikesell.

Mass of Christian Burial will begin 11:00 a.m. Thursday, January 21, 2016 at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church. Father Stephen Blum will officiate the services.

Friends may call from 2:00 – 4:00 and from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 20, at CHILES – LAMAN FUNERAL AND CREMATION SERVICES, SHAWNEE CHAPEL.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
