Mary E. Wagner, age 88, passed away at 2:25 a.m. Friday, January 18, 2019, at the Meadows of Delphos.

Mary was born April 8, 1930 in Sidney, OH, to the late Peter and Theresa (Watren) Lachey. On October 2, 1954 she married the boy across the street, Robert P. “Bob” Wagner who preceded her in death on Saturday, February 3, 2018 after 63 wonderful years of marriage.

Mary was a graduate of Holy Angels Catholic High School in Sidney, Ohio. She retired from Superior Wholesale, where she worked as a secretary. Mary enjoyed sewing, baking and cooking. She loved her family and especially loved spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by three daughters, Lynne Wagner of Lima, Lori (Howard) Terry of Utica and Lisa Wagner of Delphos; five grandchildren, David Terry of Utica, Emily (Jason) Lee of Delphos, Andrew Wagner of Dayton, Kate (Joshua) Niehues of Willows, CA, Nicholas Terry of Utica; five great-grandchildren, Alyssa (Curtis White) Lee, Garrett, Alivia, and Morgan Lee, Mabel Niehues and a great- great grandson, Abel White.

Other survivors include a sister, Judy Cook of Fort Loramie and sister-in-law, Martha Wagner – Beckley of Fairbury, IL and several nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by four brothers-in-law, Garold Cook, William (Jane) Wagner, Joe (Sally) Wagner, Gerald Wagner; and a sister-in-law, Melba (Herbert) Stratman.

A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11:00 a.m Wednesday, January 23, 2019, at St. Gerard Catholic Church, 240 W. Robb Ave., Lima, Ohio 45801. Father Mike Sergi will officiate the service. Burial will follow in Gethsemani Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 – 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 22, at CHILES – LAMAN FUNERAL AND CREMATION SERVICES, SHAWNEE CHAPEL. A Rosary Service will be held at 8:00 p.m. Tuesday.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Gerard Catholic Church.
