Marian “Gail” Fannin, 84, passed away on July 9, 2023, at 12:54 pm, at the Wyngate Senior Living Community – Lima, surrounded by her loving family.
Gail was born December 28, 1938 in Hamilton, OH, to Herman and Bessie (Spivey) Robinson who both preceded her in death. On December 30, 1955 she married Stanley Fannin who preceded her in death on September 20, 2021.
Gail attended Hamilton High School. She was a homemaker for most of her life. Gail cherished her family and spending time with her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed traveling with her sister and brother-in-law to various Blue Grass Festivals. When her children were younger she always enjoyed her week long family vacation to Dale Hollow Lake in Tennessee. Some of her favorite hobbies included cooking many types of food for her family, dancing and playing bingo.
Gail is survived by her children, Mark (Wendy) Fannin of Lima, OH, Stacia (Eric) Johnson of Fort Worth, TX, Jami (Mike Youngs) Fannin of Mantiou Springs, CO, grandchildren, Jason (JaNae) Fannin, Trisha (Brent) Nussbaum, Amber Johnson, Matt (Ailei Wang) Johnson, Mark Johnson, Ryan (Liz) Walters, great-grandchildren, Brenden Fannin, Kiersten Fannin, Karina Fannin, Elena Nussbaum, Carson Nussbaum, Victoria Walters, Jackson Walters, Lily Sophia Johnson, brother, William Herman (Dianne) Robinson and brother-in-law, Robert Woebkenberg.
She is preceded in death by her siblings, Jack Richard Robinson, Carol June Woebkenberg and sister-in-law, Rosemary Elizabeth Robinson.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, August 11, 2023 at 2:30pm at CHILES – LAMAN FUNERAL HOMES, SHAWNEE CHAPEL.
Visitation will be on Friday, August 11, 2023 from 1:00pm until the time of the service at the SHAWNEE CHAPEL.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or Dementia Society of America.
