Linda M. Vermillion, 69, passed away on July 7, 2023, at 6:49 pm, at Mercy Health – St. Rita’s Medical Center, surrounded by her loving family.
Linda was born August 9, 1953 in Schetzingen, Germany to Vernon Slaughter and Friedel (Edgnar) Kelly who both preceded her in death.
Linda graduated from Mountain Home Senior High School in 1971. She then attended Henderson State University. Linda worked at Sams Club at the Lima Branch for over seventeen years. She was a member at South Side Christian Church. Linda enjoyed spending time with her family and adored her nieces and nephews dearly. One of her hobbies was collecting various pieces of jewelry.
Linda is survived by her husband, Jerry Vermillion of Lima, OH, step-children, Christopher “Chris” (Mary) Vermillion of Rushmont, NC, Wendy (Lawrence) Zak of Buffalo, NY, children, Kirby Donoho of Malvern, AR, Eliyah Donoho of Malvern, AR, Samuel “Sam” Donoho of Malvern, AR, grandchildren, Carson and Brian, siblings, Patricia (Tom) Hunt-Kientzy of Venedocia, OH, Alfred (Melinda) Slaughter of Indian Lake, OH, Robin (Greg) Lauck of Indian Lake, OH, Bonnie (Bubba) Swan of Mountain Home, AR, David (JoAnn) Dalka of Osting, FL, Janet (Steve) Bechtel of Belle Center, OH, Andrea Slaughter of Huron, OH, best friend, Teresa Sherrick of Elida, OH and father-in-law, Richard Vermillion of Lima, OH.
She is preceded in death by her brother, William Thomas Slaughter.
Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, July 11, 2023 at 7:00pm at CHILES – LAMAN FUNERAL HOMES, SHAWNEE CHAPEL. Rev. Todd Cosart to officiate the service.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, July 11, 2023 from 2:00pm to 7:00pm at the SHAWNEE CHAPEL.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. Rita’s Hospice.
The family would like to extend their appreciation to the staff at St. Rita’s Hospice and St. Rita’s 4K and 6K for their excellent care given to Linda.
