On June 10, 2018, at 9:15 am, Jeri L. Jackson went to sing in the Heavenly Choir. She passed away at the Shawnee Manor Nursing Home. Jeri was born October 14, 1942 in Piqua, OH. She was raised by her parents Ernest and Ethel (May) Tasker who preceded her in death. On August 19, 1962 she married Neil Jackson who survives in Lima.
In 1961, Jeri graduated from the Troy High School. Through the years, she had been a member of the Troy First Methodist Church and the Troy First Baptist Church. Jeri and her husband were very involved in the Kettering Banjo Society. She will be remembered for her beautiful smile, singing voice and her joyous spirit. Jeri and her husband raised their family in Troy, Oh but for the last 13 years resided in Hernando, FL.
In addition to her husband, Jeri is survived by her children: Jamie L. (Gerrit) Van DerHoop of Madison, WI, Laura (James) Wanzel of Savanna, GA and and Jaclyn (Matt) Sollars of Spencerville, OH, 2 grandchildren: Laurelyn Van DerHoop and Isaac Sollars, a brother in-law, John Pantakis of Athens, OH, a sister in-law, Connie Tasker of Casstown, OH, a nephew, Dennis (Shelly) Tasker of Troy, OH and a niece, Adrianna (James) Potter of Phoenix, AZ. She was preceded in death by a sister, Eva Pantakis.
Following Jeri’s wishes, there will not be any services held at this time. Memorial contributions may be made to a hospice organization of your choosing.
