Jean Struble, age 88, of Lima, formerly of Cairo, passed away September 1, 2015, at 12:40 pm, at the Wyngate Assisted Living.

Jean was born August 11, 1927 in Lima, OH, to Warren and Sarah Pauline Westenbarger Jenkins who preceded her in death. On January 26, 1946 she married Galen Struble who preceded her in death on November 8, 2001.

Jean was a 1945 graduate of the Columbus Grove High School. After high school she worked as a receptionist with the Holiday Inn and Ramada Inn. She then took a position with the Bath High School as a school bus driver and worked there for many years until she retired. Jean was a former member of the Cairo United Methodist Church and a current member of the Westside United Methodist Church. She was an avid square dancer and belonged to the Hix-N-Chix Square Dance Club. Jean also had attended the Lima Senior Citizens. Some of her hobbies included; playing cards, camping, quilting and crocheting. Through the years she had crocheted and donated many dish clothes. After retirement, what she enjoyed most was traveling with her husband to their winter home in Frostproof, Florida.

Jean is survived by a son, Ronald Nadiji Struble of Las Vegas, NV, 2 daughters; Charlotte Gary Baxter of Zanesfield, OH and Debra Tim Orchard of Lima, OH, 6 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren and a half-sister, Donna Lee Gary Farst of Coldwater, MI.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 5, 2015 at 1:00 pm at the CHILES-LAMAN FUNERAL AND CREMATION SERVICES, EASTSIDE CHAPEL. Burial will be in Cairo East Cemetery following the service.

Friends may call on Friday, September 4, 2015 at the EASTSIDE CHAPEL from 4-8 pm.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Cairo United Methodist Church or the Westside United Methodist Church.
