Jean L. Garrison, 87, died on Sunday, November 18, 2018 at Springview Manor.

She was born on July 16, 1931 in Rockford, Illinois to Luverne and Edwina (Starkweather) Sawdey who preceded her in death. On October 1, 1949 she married Bernard Dale Watson, who predeceased her. On July 1, 1972 she married Clarence E. Garrison who predeceased her on May 27, 2003. She was preceded in death by one sister, Carol Tufftee and a stepson, William Garrison.

She is survived by her twin sister Joan (Earl) Brinker of Rockton, Illinois and brother-in-law, David Tufftee of Virginia. Survivors also include six children: Elizabeth (Michael) Tschuor of West Chester, Ohio; Barbara J. (John D.) Johnson of Lima, Ohio; Bernard Dale Watson of Salem, Missouri; William Watson of Columbus Grove, Ohio; Dwight Watson of Lima, Ohio; and James Watson of Lima, Ohio. She is also survived by 3 step children: Diane (Bob) Niswander of Florida; Linda (Wade) Dimmick of Illinois and Dale (Peggy) Garrison of Copley, Ohio. She is also survived by grandchildren, Angela, Paul, Alisha, Stephanie, Robert, Hayes, Dale Ann, Billy, Hannah, Michael, Catlin, Beth, Scott, Kim, Cheryl, Katie, Lisa, and Nicole, and numerous great grandchildren.

Jean was active member in the West Elm United Church of Christ and Faith Christian Church and had volunteered for years at the Allen County Council on Aging. She loved traveling and spending time with family and friends.

Services will be Thursday, November 29th at 11:00 am at Faith Christian Church with visitation 1 hour prior to the service. We would like to express a special thanks to Hospice for their exceptional care and kindness. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Rita’s Hospice or Faith Christian Church.
