Janice V. Branham, age 86, peacefully passed away at 12:34 am Tuesday, February 16, 2021, at Lima Memorial Health System with her family by her side.

Janice was born August 6, 1934 in Vaughnsville, OH, to the late J. Myron and Edith J. (Bogart) Williams. On October 18, 1954 she married Elmer “Ed” Branham who preceded her in death on October 6, 2017.

Janice was a 1952 graduate of Vaughnsville High School and was a graduate of Northwestern Business College now UNOH. She drove semi-truck for her father’s business, JM Williams Trucking from the age of 16 and later taught her husband how to drive semi-truck. Together, they drove semi-truck in the family business until they started a family of their own. Janice retired from Elida Schools, where she drove school bus for over 30 years. She was an avid fan of the Cincinnati Reds and The Ohio State Buckeyes football and basketball teams. Janice was a member of the Gomer Congregational Church and enjoyed attending Statler Brothers concerts and listening to their music. She especially loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by five children, Rex (Sherry) Branham of Edon, Randy (Amanda) Branham of Middle Point, Rick (Mindi Miller) Branham of Waynesfield, Linette (Roger) Roberts of Gomer and Laurette (Andy) Schimpf of Gomer; step-son, Chris Branham of Harriman, TN; special daughter, Antoinette Saco of Lima; 15 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren, 2 brothers-in-law, Burl (Yvonne) Branham, Bill (Dolores) Branham and 2 sisters-in-law, Darlene Bragg and Emmi Branham

In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by 2 brothers, Richard (Betty) Williams, Jack (Wava) Williams; daughter-in-law, Elaina Branham; 2 brothers-in-law, Earl Branham, David Bragg and a sister-in-law, Helga Branham

A memorial service celebrating Janice’s life will be held at a later date.
