Halden Keeler Shelley, 87 of Lima, passed away November 21, 2021, at his home, surrounded by his loving family.

Halden was born September 30, 1934 in Lima, to William Daniel and Frieda (Keeler) Shelley, who preceded him in death. On May 2, 1988, he married Bonnie (Clark) Shelley, who survives him in Lima.

Halden was a 1954 graduate of Lima South High School and a proud United States Marine Corps Veteran, serving as a corporal from 1953 to 1956. He worked as a maintenance manager at Artex Hobby Products for 16 years and the Elks Lodge # 54 as the maintenance supervisor for 24 years. Halden was a life member of Elks Lodge #54 and VFW Post #1275. He was also a member of Eagles Aerie #370, Moose Lodge #199, American Legion Post #96 and the Marine Corp League of Lima. Halden enjoyed fishing, hunting, golfing and working in his yard. Most of all, he loved his family and was always there to lend a helping hand; he was incredibly handy and could fix or repair just about anything.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Ralph Lee (Sandy) Shelley and sisters, Eleanor Sneary and Dorothy E. (Fred) Foster.

Funeral service will be held at 11:30 AM on Wednesday, December 1, 2021 at CHILES-LAMAN FUNERAL & CREMATION SERVICES, EASTSIDE CHAPEL with Rev. Lori Reiber to officiate the service. Military honors will be given by VFW Post #1275 and active duty Marine Corps. Burial will be at a later date in Memorial Park Cemetery.
