Jodi and family - I have just learned of Gordon's passing and even though I think I only crossed paths with him once or twice, I could tell that he was a great guy. Reading comments left by so many others confirms that impression. I am sorry for your loss and hope that all of those who knew Gordon well can help you celebrate a life well-lived. Jodi and family, My heartfelt thoughts and prayers to all of you with Gordon’s passing. I have so many great memories with Gordon and you when I lived in Pandora and was a member at Grace. I spent a lot of enjoyable times with your families and friends at both funeral homes. It’s hard to believe that was 27 years ago. Love to all of you, Nancy Bertsche Grittman

Jodie, I remember the weekend of December 21st, 1985 well. It was cold and ice on the ground, but that didn't bother Gordie at all. He glowed because he was marring the love of his life !! During our time 40 plus years ago in Cincinnati, Gordie was a good friend and I will always be grateful for that friendship. Blessings on you and all the family. I am so sorry to hear of Gordon’s passing. You have my sympathy. He will be missed. I appreciated his professionalism and caring when he helped with my parents’ funerals. He was very kind and helpful during those times. It was especially meaningful to work with him since our families knew each other. Jean

I knew Gordon from my days working in Lima back in the 80s. Great guy who always took the time to talk about anything. My sentiments to his family and his co-workers at the funeral homes.

As a teenager in Pandora in the 1960s, I babysat for Gordon & his siblings. Within the last 14 years, Gordon took care of each of my parents when they passed away. He was kind and compassionate and well-suited for his profession. His passing is a loss for the community. My condolences to his family. — Anne Leightner Kienlen Washington, DC
