Edward L. Crouch, age 82, went to be with the Lord on May 5, 2016, at 4:00 am, at the St. Rita’s Medical Center.Ed was born August 8, 1933 in Celina, OH, to Roy D. and Bertha E. Brown Crouch who preceded him in death. On March 29, 1958 he married Eveleen Nichols Crouch who survives in Lima.
Ed had attended the Shawnee High School. He had worked for Duff Truck Lines for 33 years as a truck driver and also on the loading docks from which he retired in 1985. Ed liked the outdoors and he enjoyed fishing with his family and friends. He will be remembered as being a hard worker and a dedicated family man.
Ed is survived by 3 daughters; Connie Mark Gossard of Wapakoneta, OH, Debra Kistler of Lima, OH and Brenda Randy Gross of Wapakoneta, OH and a son, Rickie Dianne Guenther Crouch of Marion, OH, 7 grandchildren; Stephanie Oren James, Jennifer Adam Blevins, Jessica Dana Jenkins, Matthew Andrea Gossard, Jeanna WesWeaver, Rebecca Crouch and Rickie Crouch Jr., 7 great grandchildren; Jonah Volbert, Lillian Volbert, Carson Blevins, Cheyenne Blevins, Levi Gossard, Vivienne Weaver and Ellis James, 2 sisters-in-law; Norma Crouch of Lima, OH and Florence Nichols of Hillsboro, OH. He was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Duane Kistler, 8 siblings; Gerald Bernadine Crouch, Wanetta Charles Barrett, Walter Crouch, Dorothy Crouch, Lawrence Loretta Crouch, Lee Crouch, Wanda Robert Meeker and Ethel Joe Phillips.
There will be funeral service held on Monday, May 9, 2016 at 10:00 am at the CHILES-LAMAN FUNERAL AND CREMATION SERVICES, EASTSIDE CHAPEL. Officiating the service will be Pastor William Turner. Entombment will be in the Memorial Park Cemetery Mausoleum following the service. Friends may call on Sunday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at the EASTSIDE CHAPEL. Memorial contributions may be made to the Open Door Baptist Church Building Fund, 1812 Allentown Rd., Lima, OH 45805. Condolences may be expressed at chiles-lamanfh.com
