Edna L. Weber, age 94, passed away January 16, 2015, at 4:45 am, at the Baton Rouge Living Center. Edna was born December 3, 1920 in Lowell, OH, to Jewitt and Florence Walters Miller who preceded her in death. On June 17, 1940 she married Albert Weber who preceded her in death on June 6, 2004.
Edna was a 1938 graduate of the Lowell High School. She had worked as a head cook with the Elida High Schools for 15 years retiring in 1981. Edna was a faithful member of the Allentown United Methodist Church since 1956. She was a member of the Eastern Star. She loved to travel to their lake home on Lake George where she spent a lot of time with family and friends playing cards, board games of all types, softball and all types of water sports. For over 20 years her and her husband also traveled to Mesa, AZ during the winter months where she loved to sightsee and visit the casinos and play games.
Edna is survived by a son, Rolly Deb Weber of Elida, OH and a daughter, Judy John Wannemacher of Fremont, IN, a brother, Harry Miller of Lima, OH, a son-in-law, Joseph Kennerson of Kentucky, 7 grandchildren: Angie Wannemacher, Jeremy Wannemacher, Yvonne Smith-Ruiz, Nick Haley Smith, Jesse Andrew Kennerson- Watterfield and Julia Kennerson, 9 Great Grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and a very close companion, Lewis Mallett of Ft. Wayne, IN. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Debbie Smith-Kennerson, a brother, Ernest Connie Miller, a sister- in-law, Leora Miller and a grandchild, Melissa Wannemacher-Harmon.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 23, 2015 at 12:00 noon at the CHILES-LAMAN FUNERAL AND CREMATION SERVICES SHAWNEE CHAPEL. Officiating the service will be Rosalie Lora. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery following the service. Friends may call on Friday from 10:00 am until the time of the services at the SHAWNEE CHAPEL. Memorial contributions may be made to Allen County Humane Society.Condolences may be expressed at chiles-lamanfh.com
