Dorsey “Pete” Miller Jr., 77, passed away at 5:10 am January 23, 2020 at Cleveland Clinic.

He was born June 24, 1942 in Lima to Dorsey P. and Rita E. (Hunt) Miller who preceded him in death. He married Deborah Miller who survives in Spencerville.

Pete started his career working at his father’s excavating business, Miller Excavating and also worked out of the Operator’s Union for several local construction companies including Tilton, Jacobs, and Jeffries. He then became an auctioneer working with his father and sister Kay at Dorsey P. Miller Auctions. Pete was currently working at Oakridge Realty as a Real Estate Agent. He was a member of St. Charles Catholic Church, VFW, American Legion, BPOElks, and was an US Army Veteran. Pete loved spending time with his cars, his many friends, and his cats, Harley and Punky, as well as his golden retriever, Lilly Mae. He was kind, fun loving, and a hard worker.

Survivors include: 3 Daughters, Megan (Taber) Miller of Lima, Jennifer (Russ) Myers of Lima, and Caroline (Chris) Daley of Cincinnati; 8 Grandchildren, Kaylena, Madyson, Myla, Ryker, Lexi, Elli, Julian, and Clarissa; a Sister, Kay (Dave Yohe) Andrews of Lima; 2 Special Nieces, Jessie and Marcy; a Great Niece, Bella.

Friends may call from 4:00 until 8:00 pm Monday and from 10:00 am until time of services at 11:00 am Tuesday at CHILES-LAMAN FUNERAL AND CREMATION SERVICES SHAWNEE CHAPEL. Burial will follow in Fort Amanda Cemetery with Military Honors being conducted by the US Army and the Spencerville VFW.
