Deborah N. Ioannidis, 73, passed away on December 25, 2020, at 10:02 pm, at Otterbein Cridersville Senior Life Community, surrounded by her loving family.
Deborah was born June 13, 1947 in Columbus, OH, to George and Ruth (Whitrock) Covell who both preceded her in death. On December 16, 1976 she married Christos B. Ioannidis M.D., who preceded her in death on October 14, 2014.
Deborah graduated from Olentangy High School in 1965. She was a member at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church. Deborah was the office manager at her husband’s medical practice for over thirty years. She loved her son very much and cherished spending time with her beloved family.
Deborah is survived by her son, Glenn F. Bauman of Delaware, OH, granddaughter, Avery Bauman of Maumee, OH, brother, Michael D. Covell of Alto Pass, IL, brother-in-law, Jim Pemberton of Flanders, NJ, nephew, Matt (Christine) Pemberton of Cliffton, NJ, niece, Susan Pemberton of CA, sister-in-law, Chrysanthi Lefas-Tetenes of Athens, Greece, niece, Mariani Lefas-Tetenes (Jason) Patch of Providence, RI, great niece, Zazie Patch of Providence, RI, nephew, Vasilios Lefas-Tetenes of Athens, Greece, and niece, Cara Dafoe of Greece.
She is preceded in death by her sister, April Pemberton and nephew, Michael James Pemberton.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, January 2, 2021 at 11:00am at Woodlawn Cemetery, 1751 Spencerville Road, Lima, OH, 45805. Father Larry Lagakis to officiate the service.
Visitation will be on Saturday, January 2, 2021 from 10:00am until 10:45am at CHILES – LAMAN FUNERAL HOMES, SHAWNEE CHAPEL.
Memorial contributions may be made to Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church building fund, 750 N. Superior Street, Toledo, OH 43604, The Salvation Army or the Humane Society of Allen County.
Due to Covid-19, we ask that all folks please bring and wear a mask as well as please practice social distancing and respect the families wishes.
