Lawrenceburg, IN
Daniel “Dan” E. Marsteller,56, passed away on February 1, 2021, at 11:05 am, at Bethesda
North Hospital in Cincinnati, OH. Dan was a resident of Lawerencburg, IN where he lived with
his loving companion and best friend Mel Stange.

Dan was born February 8, 1964, in Lima, OH, to Eugene and Kay (Diegel) Marsteller whom
both preceded him in death as well as his sister Christine Marsteller.
Dan graduated from Bath High School in 1982. He then enlisted into the United States Army.
Dan is survived by his loving companion, Melody Stange of Lawrenceburg, IN, children,
Andrew (Dana Camille) Marsteller of Spokane. WA, Kylie (Matthew) Thwaits of St. Marys, OH,
Lindsey Marsteller of Spokane, WA, grandchildren, Asa Marsteller, Vera Marsteller, Joshua
Bales, Benjamin Thwaits, Samuel Thwaits and Evelyn Thwaits (due end of May), siblings, Jeff
Marsteller of Piqua, OH, Jim Marsteller of Austin, TX, nephew, Stephen Marsteller, niece,
Brittany Marsteller, and nephew, Eric Marsteller.

Dan Marsteller was one of those unique individuals who, when you met him, did not take long to
know him, fall in love with him, and desire to listen to hours of his stories. He loved to brag
about his children’s successes no matter how small or little they may be. He would tell you
hundreds of 4H, Boy Scout, and camping stories, and those would be just the beginning. As if
those were not enough he would tell you about the countless amounts of cruises and adventures
that he and Mel went on regularly. Dan was a man of great adventure and excitement.

Dan loved his hobbies such as scrapbooking, listening to hours of 80‘s rock, cheering on Ohio
State football, camping, and going on Cruises. All of those hobbies paled in comparison to his
love for his family both immediate and extended. What brought life to Dan was not the quality of
the time spent but the quantity. He loved being surrounded by family. He could sit for hours with
his three children just watching movies, having BBQ’s or just going on a drive. Dan would tell
you that at times he felt like he was born to be a grandpa. Gift giving was one of Dan’s love
languages and he poured his soul into giving his six grandchildren anything their hearts desired.

Dan will be greatly missed as he takes one final cruise, makes one final memory to be with his
parents and sister in Heaven. So for eternity, he can tell God all the beautiful stories he already
knows. Dan will be missed greatly but always remembered.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday, February 12, 2021, at 4:00 pm at CHILES – LAMAN
