Danie Ryane Sr., age 68, passed away on June 23, 2023, at 1:17 pm, at his residence. Danie was born May 3, 1955, in Lima, OH, to Richard (Ruth Ann) Hutchinson and Vena (McKee) Ryane who all preceded him in death. On July 16, 1978, he married his longtime friend and love, Vickie Lynn (Grigsby) Ryane who survives in Lima.
In addition to his wife, Danie is also survived by his children: Patricia (William “Pappy”) Yarbrough of Beaverdam, OH, Melissa Jo Ryane of Anchorage, AK, Darlin “Jill” Ordonia of Lima, OH and Danie (Karen) Ryane Jr. of Lima, OH, 12 grandchildren: Corina Ryane, Destiny Lones, Chasity Ryane, Shawn Lones, Christian Lones, Matthew Yarbrough, Billy Yarbrough, Richard Ryane, Montgomery Rosga, Timothy Rosga, Chase Rosga and Dakota Rosga, many great grandchildren and nieces and nephews, his siblings: Jeremy Ryane, Sharie Tremble and Stevhan Ryane, half siblings: Karen Hutchinson, Emma Hutchinson, Brenda Sue Hutchinson, Ricky Hutchinson and Donald (Cindy) Hutchinson. He was preceded in death by a half sister, Darlene Hutchinson and a grandson, Dominic Ryane.
Danie was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving from 1972 until he came home in 1975. He was a laborer and proud member of the Local #329 where he joined in 1981 and retired in 2016. He was also a former member of the VFW #1275 and the Moose Lodge. Danie loved working on old cars, going to Kentucky with his buddies and drinking a cold beer in the garage after a long day. He also loved working in the yard and mowing the grass.
There will be a funeral service held on Friday, June 30, 2023 at 12 noon at the CHILES-LAMAN FUNERAL AND CREMATION SERVICE, EASTSIDE CHAPEL. Officiating the service will be Pastor David Coffey. Burial will be in Preston Cemetery in Alger following the service. Military honors will be provided by the U.S. Army and the VFW #1275.
Friends may visit on Friday from 10:00 am until the service at 12 noon at the EASTSIDE CHAPEL. Memorial contributions may be made to the Veteran’s Food Pantry. Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.chiles-lamanfh.com.
