Bret Allen Brown, age 27, passed away Tuesday July 24, 2018.
Bret was born March 3, 1991 in St. Marys, OH, to Kenneth R. Brown III and Ronda M. (Myers) Norris who both survive.
Bret was a 2009 graduate of Kings Mill High School and had attended the New Bremen and Findlay schools. He worked as a truck driver for Carbon Express Trucking. Bret proudly served in the United States Army, with service in Afghanistan Operation Enduring Freedom. His many accomplishments included the Army Commendation Medal, Army Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Afghanistan Campaign Medal, two Campaign Stars, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon and the NATO Medal. He was an avid football and hockey fan. Bret especially loved spending time with his family.
He was blessed with a family who loved him dearly, mom, Ronda M. Norris of Elida, dad, Kenneth R. (Amelia) Brown, III; two sisters, Erika L. Miller of Wapakoneta and Natalie Brown; maternal grandfather, Ken Leugers of Minster; maternal grandmother, Virginia Drinnen of Montezuma, maternal grandparents, Eddie and Becky Drinnen of Sidney; paternal grandparents, Kenneth R. and Jackie Brown, Jr; aunt, Tracy Goudy of Elida, uncle, Brian and Jenn Brown, uncle, Jason and Lala Drinnen, uncle, Michael and Jennifer Brown, Special aunt and uncle, Jim and Sherry Haynes of Sarasota, FL and his best friend since preschool, Roger Samaniego of Laurelville.
Funeral services will begin at 8:00 p.m. Saturday, July 28, 2018, at CHILES – LAMAN FUNERAL AND CREMATION SERVICES, SHAWNEE CHAPEL. Pastor Dennis Ward will officiate the service. Military Honors will be provided by the United States Army and the VFW #1275.
The family will receive friends from 3:00 – 5:00 and 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Saturday, July 28, at the funeral home prior to the funeral.
