Billie Sue Goodwin, age 90, was called into the presence of the Lord, at 6:15 p.m. Thursday, January 19, 2017, at the Sarah Jane Living Center, Delphos.

Billie Sue was born September 10, 1926 in Chattanooga, TN, to the late William Franklin and Pearl (Shoemake) McCamey. On September 7, 1946 she married the love of her life, Walter Goodwin who preceded her in death.

Billie Sue was a graduate of St. Elmo High School, Chattanooga, TN. She worked as a secretary for Duff Truck Lines and the Tom Ahl Family of Dealerships for many years. Billie Sue loved to sing and enjoyed knitting and crocheting. Her greatest joy was her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Most of all she loved helping others. She was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church.

She was blessed with three children, daughters, Nancy L. Goodwin and Donna Sue Goodwin who both preceded her in death, son, Bill (Trudy) Goodwin of Elida; two granddaughters, Aubrey Goodwin-Ackles of Lima and Andrea (Travis) Lawson of Elida; great grandchildren, Jaden Goodwin, Trey Ackles, Jasmine Ackles, Aiden Lawson and Addie Lawson.

Other survivors include, sisters, Jackie (Lonnie) Fritz of Arizona and Shirley Stopt of Oregon.

She is preceded in death by: brothers, Jay McCamey, Nelson McCamey and Ray McCamey and sisters, Blanch McCamey Brown and Geneva Higgins.

Funeral services will begin 2:00 pm Monday, January 23, 2017 at CHILES – LAMAN FUNERAL AND CREMATION SERVICES, SHAWNEE CHAPEL. Pastor Paul Osborne will officiate the service. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery, Lima.

The family will receive friends 12:00 – 2:00 p.m. Monday prior to the funeral at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
